Visit our MySpace page: SG MySpace Foundation Faith & Corby Faith is one of the creators of SG. In August of 2006, her husband was diagnosed with Leukemia. Faith & Corby spent close to a year hundreds of miles away from their family and pets in Washington DC so that Corby could be treated at Walter Reed. Many of our members have donated money to them & have been there to support them through their tough times. Corby was released from the hospital in the summer of 2007, free of Leukemia. The two of them are doing wonderful now, having just welcomed a new baby boy into the world.	Soldiers' Girls Soldiers' Girls is a forum to network with multiple Military Wives & Girlfriends throughout the world who can offer support that not many other friends can offer; an understanding of what it's like to experience life with a deployed Soldier. Whether it's occupying your time while you're at work or making time go faster while he's away, the members on SG are sure to make you smile and feel like a sister. Member of the Month by Julia Each month, we choose a new SG member who we feel has gone above & beyond throughout the board. This member makes SG a better place and we feel it's necessary for them to be acknowledged. This month's Member of the Month is: Dawn Dawn is city girl, born and raised in New Jersey. She got married to her high school sweetheart Keith in August of 2007 and they have been together since April 2000. They have one furbaby named Chomper!! Dawn is also very detemined to get her bachelors degree in psychology. She is graduating college in May 2009 and plans on becoming a marriage and family therapist because she enjoys helping people out with any problems they may have. Dawn is so proud to be a SG's member because they have helped her in all the situations she has faced whether they have been big or small. Honorable Hero of the Month by Julia We at SG also feel that it is important to acknowledge and honor a member of the military monthly. SG members submit the names of military members who they feel deserve to be honored. This month's Honorable Hero is: Mike Mike is a Signal Systems Support Specialist with the 101st Airborne Division- AIR ASSAULT. He recently returned from his third deployment to Iraq, a 15 month tour, in November 2007. Mike has been in the Army for 8 ½ years. He is extremely dedicated to the Army and his soldiers and consistently goes above and beyond to get the job done. He will celebrate his second wedding anniversary with his wife, Michelle, this July. They are stationed at Ft Campbell, KY, and are actively involved in their church. At home, they have one furbaby, Murphy, and are expecting a baby boy this August.
